The Board of Education shall provide elementary and secondary education extending from kindergarten through grade 12 with additional programming available through workplace learning and early college and 12+1 and 12+2 programs. The schools shall operate as a single unit under the direction of the Chief Education Officer.

 

Normally, elementary schools will serve students in kindergarten through fifth grade; middle schools will serve grades six, seven, and eight; and high schools shall include grades nine through twelve plus any additional programming through workplace learning or concurrent enrollment.  However, the grade-level configurations of the school shall remain flexible to meet the growth needs of the District.
