Kevin Butcher says he and his wife have always tried to demonstrate the importance of education to their children by being involved in their education and being involved as strong supporters of their schools and the district. Butcher’s children attended District 49 schools since kindergarten.
Butcher has been an active member of the Falcon Education Foundation since its inception and served as president. Recently, he served on the district’s capital planning committee.
Professionally, Butcher is the president of a commercial real estate services company and volunteers with the Fountain Mutual Metropolitan District, Pikes Peak Association of Realtors and Colorado Association of Realtors. He has also served on the Colorado Springs Planning Commission (two terms) and Downtown Review Board.
“Because of my long involvement in the community," he said, "I will be able to help the district forge strong community partnerships to help us move forward to becoming a great school district."
