2016 3B Priority Two Projects at RES

Posted by Matthew Meister on 6/8/2017

Overwhelming voter approval of ballot issue 3B last November means summer construction at Remington Elementary School is getting underway. Several projects to refresh and refurbish the building are scheduled to be completed prior to the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

SAFETY, FLOORING, WALLS
Enhancements will be made in the front entrance of the school to provide access to the office for visitors while restricting access to educational areas of the building. Additional security enhancements will be made throughout campus. Flooring is scheduled to be replaced throughout the school. Hallways and high traffic areas will be completed this summer and individual classroom flooring projects will be completed next year during major school breaks. Our original wallpaper is scheduled to be removed and paint refreshed.

PLAYGROUND
Work will occur to improve the playground experience of our students, including the replacement of our playground equipment. Improvements also include a safe and softer playing surface underneath playground equipment.
