Nutrition Services: Return to Learn Information

We are just about a month away from school year 20-21!

D49 wants to equip all of our students for an excellent season of learning. It is widely researched and documented that well-nourished students are more successful in their academic studies. The window to apply for a free and reduced meal plan opens July 13.

Charge Policy: D49 School Meal Payments

Returning for school year 20-21? Update your D49 PaySchools meal account and re-apply by clicking here. All school locations will have paper copies and will accept completed applications for processing

Please Keep in Mind
  • Families must reapply every year.
  • Families who had meal benefits last year have a 30 day grace period to apply for this year before students will be removed.
  • Families are responsible for all purchases until applications are processed and qualified for benefits.
  • Families can use PaySchools to make on-line meal payments, set up low-balance alerts and track student purchases.
  • A state law allows all reduced qualified students (K-12) to eat both breakfast and lunch for free.
  • The Nutrition office (10850 E. Woodmen Rd)  will be open from 7:30-4:00 Monday thru Friday starting July 13th to assist with the application process. Please call the phone number on the door for access.

District 49 asks that all family members visiting the Operations Facility for Transportation and Nutrition Services to limit the number of members entering the building and to wear face masks to ensure the safety of our staff.
