Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy Under Construction
Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy, District 49's first charter high school, is set to open for the 2017-2018 school year. You can view the progress of the construction on the BLPA construction cam.
The District 49 Board of Education unanimously approved Banning Lewis Ranch Academy's application for charter agreement expansion from K-8 to K-12 in spring 2016.
Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy will open for ninth-graders when it opens in the fall of 2017. The freshmen class will be the first class of sophomores, juniors and seniors, ultimately becoming the school's first graduating class in 2021.

The BLPA expansion includes a new, state-of-the-art middle and high school campus that will be built in the Banning Lewis Ranch community.
The current Banning Lewis Ranch Academy campus location will continue to serve elementary students once the expansion is complete. After expansion, BLRA will be able to open seats to additional students.
