Nine graduates walked confidently into the LTA gymnasium to receive their high school diploma. From a sunflower-lined stage, Mr. Manley, LTA Principal, greeted the students and their supporters.

“The sunflower was chosen by this graduating class as their class flower, because it symbolizes positivity, loyalty, growth, and resilience,” Mr. Manley said. "One of the most widely recognized symbolic meanings of sunflowers is their association with positivity and joy. Similarly, our seniors have brought us joy in our time with them. At LTA and they are learning to find joy as they look to find the positives in their journeys.”

Making up the second graduating class of LTA seniors, the class of 2024 included some students who started the day the school opened.

“To the three of us who’ve been here from the beginning,” Alayna Hollinrake, LTA Valedictorian said, “we have seen it all: From going to school in church, to having a four person class…I wish you all the best. I know that we’re all going to do great things in life.”

Followed by Salutatorian Michael Drake, the student speakers encouraged their classmates to move boldly onto the next chapter of their journey. picture of Michael Drake, LTA salutatorian

“Despite the mistakes we made, and will make, they define us as humans,” Drake said. “Learning from these mistakes helps us push forward. I hope all of you continue pushing yourself, and get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable at times. I wish you all the best in whatever path you choose.

Congratulations to the LTA Class of 2024!
