ALLIES Students Find a Permanent Home as the new School Year begins
The Academy for Literacy, Learning & Innovation Excellence opened its doors in a new building, Aug. 3. ALLIES is a tuition-free, public school of choice in Colorado Springs serving students in 2nd- 5th grade who struggle with reading disorders and dyslexia.
Students moved from modular buildings to a new free standing building built with 3B funds. The new building will provide more classrooms and learning spaces including small group spaces with Take Flight interventionists.
“I think ALLIES has shown us that there’s such a different way that kids are learning and they’re ready to learn, said Tashmia William, ALLIES parent. “We just had to find the tools to do it, and ALLIES did that.”
