Bobcats Get Cozy for All School Read

Students read in the hallway.         On March 1st, the entire staff and student body of Springs Ranch sat out in the hall to participate in the All School Read.  The National Education Association (NEA) organized this day as an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child to read. Most schools celebrate this day close to Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, March 2nd.

Springs Ranch celebrated this birthday week with a themed dress up day all week.  Their All School Read day fell on Pajama Day so students were able to cuddle up with a good book, in their pajamas, to make the experience very cozy and comfortable.  Even principal James Kyner, with his front office staff, took time out of their day to sit with the students and show their value of everyone reading at the same time.  The culmination of the week dedicated not only to Dr. Seuss but also to reading, will finish up with an assembly where students and staff narrate and act out a story for the entire school.
