News 5: Eclipse viewing party and science lesson at Springs Ranch Elementary

KOAA News 5 reporter Bill Folsom joined students, staff and parents at Springs Ranch Elementary School for the solar eclipse Aug. 21.

In his report airing on the southern Colorado NBC affiliate, Folsom said, "Along with learning what makes up a solar eclipse, hundreds of children learned how to properly view the event."

"Some wore solar viewing glasses for a direct view of the eclipse. Others constructed solar viewing devices where the light is directed through a pinhole and you see the effects projected onto a piece of paper while looking away from the sun."
