Fifth grade students learned about being storm safe from KOAA News 5 meteorologist Jessica Van Meter May 23. Van Meter taught students about being safe from lightning, flooding and tornadoes during a presentation to all four grade five classes. Students were featured live during the noon newscast and then again during the 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. newscasts on the local NBC affiliate.
