Students from each grade level participated in band, choir and orchestra performances March 18 during Horizon Middle Schools arts gala.
Student artwork, including pictures, lanterns and ceramics, was also on display for families to enjoy. Handmade cards were for sale, created as part of the school’s focus on service in the community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
Kelly Champlin, art teacher, spoke about the school’s focus on art this year. “Kids have really been craving the arts,” she said. “Just seeing the joy in their faces is really rewarding.”
