First graders perform "It's a Wonderful Life" in American Sign Language during a first grade music program April 24 at Stetson Elementary School in Falcon School District 49. Five classes gathered after school to perform a series of songs that included solos and two- and three-part musical structures, as well as American Sign Language and Hawaiian. "They were incredible," said music teacher Becca Garner after the program. "When they were doing the two and three parts, you could hear the harmony. Being able to sing independently, that's generally hard for first graders to do."
