Stetson Elementary School fifth-grade students received a visit from Carlee Hoffman, meteorologist at KOAA News 5, the NBC affiliate for southern Colorado, April 29. The weathercaster discussed a multitude of weather topics with the students during a classroom presentation prior to the noon newscast.

 

 

 

Students were featured during a live shot in the noon newscast on a cloudy and chilly late April day. The students learned about television live shots, microwave signals and cameras from a presentation by "Juice" a long-time photographer at KOAA. The students were energetic during the live hit, showing all of southern Colorado what a vibrant and exciting place Stetson Elementary School is. Watch the segment below:

 

 

The students were also featured via tape during the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts later that day.
