"Super Logan" returned to Angela Moore's Kindergarten classroom for the first time since spring break, after the second of two brain surgeries to repair a condition called moyamoya, which was causing him to have multiple strokes each day. The condition occurred after several procedures doctors performed on the seven-year-old in 2014 to remove a brain tumor that was believed to be inoperable.

 

Less than two hours after the second surgery to repair blood vessels in his brain, Logan's parents, Crisandra and Richard, presented Logan with cards made by his classmates in Angela Moore's Kindergarten class at Stetson Elementary School in District 49. After seeing how much joy the cards brought Logan, his parents reached out to a television station in Denver during his recovery at Children's Hospital, to help get the word out and ask for birthday cards from around the world. The request was broadcast by Denver's 7 (ABC), chronicled nationally by ABC News and locally by KRDO-TV, the southern Colorado ABC affiliate. 

 

 

 

On his birthday April 5, Logan returned to a special surprise in his classroom - a room full of superheroes. NewsChannel 13 was on-hand for the special event. Sometimes school is a about a lot more than the ABCs and 123s. Happy birthday Super Logan from all of us at District 49!
