  • 2022-2023 Preschool Round Up

    Preschool Round Up is the first opportunity for parents to apply for a preschool spot for the 2022-2023 school year. There will be two dates, Friday, February 11 and 25, 2022. Both events and are in person and by appointment only at the Creekside Success Center, 3850 Pony Tracks Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80922. You only need to attend one of the events with your preschooler.

    Our current online application is for the 2021-2022 school year only. Applications do not carry over to the next school year. The 2022-2023 online preschool application will not open up until March 14, 2022.

    Acceptance letters are sent via email as a mail merge/mass email. To ensure proper delivery, please add our email address,, to your contact list. Please keep in mind, our placement procedure is an ongoing process until the 3rd quarter of that school year. As parents decline an offer or withdraw their child, we will go onto our waitlists and offer that spot to the next child in line for that school. Please complete our application if you want your child to be added to our waiting list. One application per child.

    District 49 offers a high-quality, inclusive preschool program that serves the developmental needs of children starting at age 3 until they are eligible for kindergarten. We welcome students who reside within D49 boundaries. 

    Research has proven that the best way for young children to learn is through PLAY 

    Our classrooms are designed to support children’s learning through guided play opportunities in a nurturing and caring environment.  Our students learn to develop healthy skills in social-emotional, learning, communication, self-help, and coordination.

  • How Do I Get My Child Into Preschool?

    • Students are placed by the early childhood office based on their home address. To find your neighborhood school click here for our district map. Students who reside within the boundaries of Falcon Elementary School of Technology or Evans International Elementary School must enroll through Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD Head Start 
    • Families must apply for available preschool openings either through our Preschool Round-Up or through our online application.  Your application is active for the school year stated on top of the application. If you are interested in applying for the following year, we encourage you to attend our Round-Up Event in February. A new application for the next school year will only be available after the Round-Up date.
