Fantastic 49 Honorees Go the Extra Mile

Fantastic 49 Honorees Go the Extra Mile

District 49 hosted Decembers Fantastic 49 celebration on December 4 before the monthly Board of Education meeting.

The first honorees of the evening was were the 2025 Falcon Education Foundation mini grant winners. Over $20,000 was awarded to fund 29 unique classroom projects this year.

The second honoree was Josh Wixom, high school teacher at Springs Studio for Academic Excellence.

Wixom established the robotics program and successfully launched the VEX Robotics initiative, which has become a campus cornerstone. Through his leadership, students have gained invaluable experience in engineering, coding, and collaboration, while developing the confidence and problem-solving skills essential for future success.

Fantastic 49 is the district’s recognition program that celebrates fantastic staff, students, and community members before the board of education meetings. A sincere thank you to our sponsors, Air Academy Federal Credit Union, Dion’s, and to Raising Cane's.
