Remington Mustangs Gather a Mountain of Donations for Sand Creek Zone Community Resource Center

Students from Anchored4Life at Remington Elementary School gathered 781 boxes of cereal for the community resource center at Horizon Middle School.

Anchored4Life is a nationwide, peer-to-peer program created to connect youth while building change and resiliency skills. The military-funded program focuses on military-connected students while simultaneously providing valuable lessons for a broad audience.

The RES Anchored4Life team includes fifth graders Violet, Raezell, Jade, and Evan, fourth graders Ethan, Ezra, Morrigan, and Jaidis, and team advisors Cassidy Thompson and Sherry Quitano.

The team made their first drop-off to the community resource center on February 18. There was so much cereal donated students will need to make another delivery.
