After wrapping up their unit on economics, IVES fourth graders brought their business ideas to life at Market Day. They’ve been learning about supply and demand, setting price points, and how to manage their money — and now they're putting it into action.
Josiah Neville used a 3D printing program to design penguin pawns for his booth. "My favorite part is seeing people play with them in line as they're walking away and being able to make a difference," he shared.
As students shopped and sold across classrooms, teacher Kerrie Merritt said, "We have a lot of students here who have now really been intrigued about starting a business."
