Diplomas in Hand, Futures in Focus: PPEC Class of 2025
Fifty one students from a graduating class of 54 received their diplomas from Pikes Peak Early college at the Antlers Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs.
Eight students earned their Associate’s degrees. Students will attending colleges ranging from nearby universitiesin Colorado, to locations as far as Washington and South Carolina. A few have also chosen to serve their counrty in the military.
“Try to be in the moment,” said Principal Nathan Pearsall in his final address to the Class of 2025. “It’s not going to last long.”
Wayne Beadles, Math Teacher and PPEC Teacher of the Year, presented students with words of wisdom, laughter, and even a few Beetles lyrics. “Don’t let math get in the way of your dream,” he said, smiling. “Promise us, all of us, to be an optimist.”
“Attending PPEC has shaped all of us,” said student speaker Micah Mirabella. “I challenge you to succeed despite your failures,” he said.
