$2 Million Grant for Mission DNA
Mission DNA is an instructional model that provides D49 teachers with a new way of teaching math. This method requires students to actively participate in their learning through different strategies to better understand the "why" behind math.
Until recently, this program was limited to D49 elementary students, but a $2 million Department of Defense Educational grant will now allow the training to be implemented all the way through 12th grade.
Rising test scores, increased interest in math, and less learning loss over summer are just some of the benefits Mission DNA has had on students.
