District 49’s “The Campus” Robotics High School team heads to Denver tonight for the two-day Robotics State Championship.
The team is composed of five students from grades 10-12 under the direction of instructor Josh Wixom.
The team has been working on their robot, “Godzilla,” for a year with a STEM-based curriculum.
They recently received the Excellence Award at their last competition, which helped them advance to state. Thirty-two high school teams will compete, with the top eight advancing to the World Championship in April.
The Middle School teams are also competing this weekend.
