We value working as a team on a daily basis, as we prepare mileage sheets and account for our students, hours worked, repair orders, log sheets and trip sheets. We also team up with those outside our department, such as administrators, teachers, coaches and parents, to solve problems concerning student transportation and safety. Our drivers routinely attend training to learn more about transporting students with disabilities, as well as participate in scheduled in-service and safety meetings.
Our values related to trustworthiness and dependability cannot be overstated. Our drivers are expected to immediately report bus accidents or incidents to their supervisors. They must demonstrate integrity in following safe student management procedures on buses. They also must pass random alcohol and drug tests.
There are several steps in the procedure for becoming a professional bus driver. We will help you along that path with information and resources to accomplish these requirements.
New training rate of pay starting July 1st, 2024 will be $19.62/hour.
After completion of training, the new starting rate will be $21.43/hour. This may be increased if you have prior experience.
