Gifted Education Mission and Vision

Mission:  It is the mission of D49’s Gifted and Talented Education Department to provide challenging and engaging educational experiences and programming to all gifted learners through trained facilitators who foster strong relationships so that all may flourish. We strive to discover and develop the unique talents and abilities of the diverse population of D49. We educate and support all personnel in the identification, understanding, and education of twice-exceptional students, so they may graduate defined by their strengths and talents.

Vision:  D49 envisions schools in which gifted students from all backgrounds are recognized, valued, and nurtured. Our highly trained staff will help them become the best version of themselves, improve on their strengths, push themselves to be their best so that they can be successful contributors to their local and global communities.
