Meet the CLDE Leadership Team

Grant Geis

Grant is the CLDE Coordinator. Grant is responsible for the CLDE departments mission, vision, and directly supervised team members. Here are some of the things he does: 

  • Ensures compliance of local, state and federal laws regarding MLs

  • Models and reviews CLDE Mission/Vision

  • Provides professional development

  • Maintains, expends and monitors CLDE funds

  • Collaborates with various departments/programs to meet the needs of the MLs.

  • Serves as an advocate for the needs of the MLs

Inés Stabler

Inés is the CLDE Instructional Coach. Inés is responsible for providing instructional coaching, modeling and effective feedback to teachers and leaders. Here are some of the things she does:

  • Model effective instructional strategies
  • Partner with teachers to support CLD student achievement.
  • Facilitate and promote authentic collaboration between stakeholders
  • Collaborate in the review and transformation of current practices
  • Conduct and/or facilitate professional development activities
  • Analyze and disseminate student data to identify resources to meet CLD student needs

Karla Palacios

Karla is the CLDE Technician. Karla 

  • Administers WIDA Screener, other language assessments (WMLS) and other standardized tests, as needed.
  • Maintains the student information systems for all English Learners (MLs). Ensures that all required documents have been uploaded.
  • Interpreting/translating services for the district
  • Make purchases for ELPA related expenditures
  • Manages technology for department

 Yudelki Gonzalez Perez and Stephanie Ramirez

Yudelki and Stephanie are the CLDE Family Engagement and Community Liaisons. They are responsible for

  • Scheduling and facilitating activities to promote family engagement among culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  •  Working in conjunction with the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) office, school, community, and parent groups in support of developing a district culture that encourages and embraces meaningful parent and family engagement.
  •  Establishing positive and supportive relationships with parents.
