Purple Star Award Program
District 49 is proud to be participating in the Purple Star Award Program, a new initiative here in Colorado designed to support military-connected families. This program helps military-connected families identify schools who are well equipped to support students and ease their transitions into new schools during all phases of a military career.
The Purple Star Award Program is a visible way for us to demonstrate our commitment to nurture the social and emotional well being of military connected students while ensuring their academic success. Through this program, our schools affirm that we possess the knowledge, resources and unwavering dedication required to serve the military-connected families with the necessary care and respect. Communities earning the Purple Star Award will be welcoming for all families, understanding the vital impact of base retention and the military community contributions to the local economy.

How to enroll/register with District 49
Please complete your registration and enrollment either in person at Creekside or online.
Once you have completed this step, if you are enrolling in one of our schools with the Purple Star, please email that school’s Military Liaison directly. Otherwise, please contact our District Military Student Family Liaison, Kelli Chappelle, with all questions and concerns.
To review course selections, head over to our school directory page, or the school list in the top right of the header. Choose your child’s respective school and review the course selections at that campus's website.
