WELCOME TO FIREBIRD NATION
Two Falcon Middle School Firebirds will take the field trip of a lifetime later this summer. Alease Church and Gavin Adams have confirmed spots at Space Camp where they will train like astronauts.
There is a place in the spotlight for learners like Aislynn Cates, a sixth-grader at Falcon Middle School. “It made me feel unique, and like I can do anything,” shared Cates. She and other D49 students took the stage at the Colorado Miss Amazing pageant March 30. The event transcends pageantry, creating a platform for girls with disabilities to have their voices heard and their faces recognized.
Three teachers in District 49 all have something in common. Parents and colleagues would say these teachers deserve recognition for going above and beyond in their classrooms. Once again, the Air Force Academy’s “Extra Yard for Teachers” campaign made that possible.
Seventeen D49 teachers received accolades from principals, and recommendations from students and parents to prompt selection as their school’s Teacher of the Year.
The Summer Office Hours for Falcon Middle School are:
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM Information Session for any parents of new FMS students, 8:00-9:30am
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Orientation for new 7th and 8th graders, 8:00-10:00am
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Back to School Night
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Athletics Parent Meeting
Starting May 1, student accounts must be funded to purchase meals. No students will be allowed to charge additional debt to their meal account. While District 49 often affords flexibility for young children in its elementary schools, each school year must end with all accounts current.
Dear D49 Families, We are pleased to tell you about an important step forward to fulfill our year-long strategic objective to enhance safety and security at our schools. On Monday, April 1, Sand Creek High School will begin a pilot program of the Blue Point Alert System.
Mission: Falcon Middle School is committed to a community built on trust, positive relationships, and high standards to create an environment that ignites academic curiosity and innovation.
Vision: Falcon Middle School will develop empowered learners who are intrinsically motivated critical thinkers with the perseverance to solve problems.
