The mission of the Falcon Online E-Academy is to provide Falcon High School Students with a safe, caring, and flexible instructional learning environment where they are able to utilize digital tools and resources to learn leveraging technology to achieve their individual goals.
Students will follow the Falcon High School brick and mortar schedule which will permit them to align their day with school programs and extracurricular activities which will be open to online students.
SchoolsPLP Curriculum is the curriculum that Falcon High School has utilized for the past year for Summer School and Credit Recovery. The curriculum offers textbooks from three different publishers that provide different instructional models that support synchronous and asynchronous learning. Students are able to access all learning activities via the SchoolsPLP platform which permits teachers to customize the learning experience for each student, such as:
- Adjust the number of opportunities that the student has for exam retakes
- What content they are able to view and complete
- Implement accommodations for learners on support plans
Parents, students, teachers, and administrators are able to see student grades and progress in real-time along with the number of hours that their student has been logged in and how many activities the student has completed, and those that still need to be completed.
Parents will be required to submit an application, which will be reviewed by the administrative team. The principal will make the final decision on admission.
The requirements are:
- Must sign the Parent & Student E-Academy Academic Contract
- Must be willing to attend all classes online – No Exceptions
- Must have demonstrated prior success with e-learning or have teacher recommendations.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time Falcon High School student.
First priority will be given to students who reside within the Falcon Zone. The second priority will be given to students within the District 49 attendance area. Finally, students outside the district will be admitted based on the space available in the program. No more than 10 students out of the district will be accepted.
