Cohort Schedule for the Week
Just a reminder that there is no school on Thursday, October 29th, for 9th, 10th, and 12th-grade students. 11th-grade students will be taking the PSAT. Instructions for 11th-grade students taking the PSAT are included below. Students in Cohorts C&D will makeup their in-person learning day on Friday, October 30th.
Please remind your student to have their ID with them as they will be required to present it to Security Officers prior to entering the building. Students without an ID will have to go to the main office to obtain a temporary ID for the day after verification. Student's who lose their ID will be charged $5.00.
Two Hour Delay Schedule
In the event of a two-hour delay, we have included the schedule is announced, we have included the schedule that we will utilize. This will not impact cohort dates or other COVID structures unless specified.
District 49 and Falcon High School have worked in conjunction with CDE to offer the PSAT (PSAT/NMSQT) School Day testing for Grade 11 on October 29, 2020. This exam will also qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship. All students in grade 11 are being provided with this opportunity. Please see the schedule below for times to report to the building for testing. Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from school due to staggered start times and small group settings designed to support social distancing and COVID 19 guidelines. Students DO NOT have to pre-register for the exam, every junior will receive an exam on the day of the test.

* Several #2 Pencils (NO MECHANICAL PENCILS)
* Approved medical equipment (i.e., EpiPen, blood sugar testing)
WHAT NOT TO BRING ON TESTING DAY:
• NO Backpacks, purses, duffle bags
• NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES will be allowed into the building
• This includes

If you have any questions regarding the test, please contact Mrs. Gregg. Scores will be reported back to the school in December. There is NO MAKEUP for the PSAT/NMSQT. Juniors will also be taking the SAT in April 2021.
Community Service Award
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honors middle level and high school students for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service.
Now through November 10, 2020, students in grades 5-12 are invited to apply for the 2021 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards if they have volunteered within the past year. Top honorees earn cash awards and an invitation to the program's national recognition events. Qualifying honorees also receive President’s Volunteer Service Awards
