    Dear Springs Ranch Families,

As we walk this E- Learning journey together, we want to express our gratitude to the Springs Ranch Community. Our staff continues to work hard in planning and implementing lessons remotely, our families have been gracious and supportive with partnering with us in providing educational opportunities for their learners, and our zone and district has been supportive in checking in frequently and providing resources and systems to promote ongoing learning. Though computers, tablets, and internet are critical components of E-Learning, our most valuable resource continues to be our people.

We want to make sure you are doing well as we journey together, so at any point you have questions or concerns please reach out to us. We are committed to ensuring that every child stays connected and supported as we all wait eagerly for our return to “normal” operations. In the meantime, hang in there, enjoy time together with your family and let us know if you need any additional support.

    Jim Kyner, Principal

    Carolyn Leyes, Assistant Principal

We understand that this is a stressful and uncertain time. Please contact our counsellor, Nikki Harding (nharding@d49.org; 719-235-0341) at any time. She can support you or your child through counselling, parenting resources, and many other supports available to you and your family. Mrs. Harding continues to connect regularly with all students through their teachers’ Google Classrooms.

    Weekly Schedule for All Grades:

Monday: No E-Learning for Students (Planning & Collaboration for Staff)

Tuesday - Friday: E-Learning Days for Students

We are committed to supporting families and students during this time. Students can access all of their learning through their classroom teacher’s Google Classroom. Teachers will use Class Dojo, Google Classroom and Schoology Courses to share lessons, connect with students and their families, and provide learning feedback. Counselor lessons, art, music, PE, library, Gifted and Talented services, English Language Learning services and Special Education services will also continue through Google Classroom. Please contact your child’s classroom teacher for any support you need to join our E-Learning journey. All teachers have daily office hours, which are posted within their Google Classrooms.

  • Attendance

Teachers will report attendance based upon your check-ins through your child’s Google Classroom and/or classwork submitted to the teacher. If your current situation makes attendance difficult for you, please contact your classroom teacher or our attendance secretary, Linda Shabeck (lshabeck@d49.org). Our first priority is your child’s health and safety; we are here to help you continue to make school a daily part of your child’s life.
