During the week of Feb. 6, school districts across the country celebrated National School Counseling Week. D49 has amazing, dedicated and hard-working school counselors who serve all students across the district, and I am incredibly grateful for the commitment they demonstrate every day for our students and colleagues.

Five and a half years ago when I started my work as the Falcon Zone Leader, I knew instantly that District 49 is a very special place. As I began working with the zone principals, we quickly aligned in our vision for classrooms—to create student-centered spaces of learning, so that all kids would have support in achieving proficiency and success.

Leadership Update - Sept. 2022
Last Friday, we closed our seventh VoW Annual Survey, wrapping up three weeks of communication inviting you to share your voice. In the end, more than 91% of our full and part-time employees completed the survey— matching our highest-ever level of participation! While we are proud to have exceeded our participation goal, the real achievement is in knowing that so many of you shared your voice.
