Greetings Husky Families,

I am honored to serve as the principal at Ridgeview Elementary School! Ridgeview is an outstanding school because we have exceptional teachers and staff, dedicated parents, and great students. At Ridgeview, we care about developing the whole child. We always strive for high academic achievement, but we also aim to help students develop: personal interests, high moral character, a strong work ethic, healthy lifestyle habits, innovative and creative thinking, and the desire to be life-long learners. We want school to be fun and engaging for students, and we do all we can to make sure this is the experience for each child. Our entire staff focuses on building positive relationships with students, families, and our community, as we know this provides the foundation for all we want to achieve. We are proud to partner with you in the education of your children, and we thank you for sharing them with us!

I have worked in Falcon School District as a teacher and school administrator for approximately 20 years, and my work has been and continues to be extremely rewarding. I have served as a school administrator in our district for more than 13 years, most of those years as a principal. Prior to my administrative career, I taught for approximately 10 years. I taught a wide range of ages and abilities from Kindergarten through Adult Basic Education, with the bulk of my teaching experience being in the elementary primary grades. I attended Regis University to achieve my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. I then went on to achieve my teaching licensure coursework and Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Education from the University of Denver. My principal licensure coursework was also accomplished through University of Denver.

Personally, I am happily married to a wonderful man who has been a dedicated teacher for approximately 25 years. He helps me to remember what it’s like to do the hard, but rewarding work of a teacher every day. We have three children - two sons and one daughter. One of our sons recently graduated college and is a working musician in Denver, specializing in jazz guitar. Our other son is attending college, and he recently achieved his basic EMT certification with the goal of working as a firefighter at some point in the future. Our daughter is our youngest and she is about to finish up her high school career and begin college, pursuing a career working with children in some capacity. We are very proud of our children and their accomplishments! As a family, we enjoy music and the arts of any kind, watching movies, traveling, exercising, and just being together. Sometimes an evening on the porch is the best way to reconnect!

I appreciate you taking time to learn a little bit about me. If we haven’t met yet, I hope to meet you soon. We have your child’s best interests in common, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure successful outcomes. If I can ever help you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at tritz@d49.org.
