Greetings Woodmen Hills Families,
It is my honor to serve as the principal of Woodmen Hills Elementary School. Education is my passion and I love working with the WHES community to ensure each year is full of rich learning experiences for our students.
I am entering my 14th year in education and have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of school and district level roles. This is my 3rd year serving as the principal of Woodmen Hills Elementary School. Prior to that, I served as an elementary assistant principal in District 20. I previously worked as a curriculum teacher on special assignment in District 49 facilitating the development of curriculum and providing professional learning opportunities for teachers. I also served as project coordinator for a multi-million dollar DODEA military math grant and was an instructional coach at FMS and FHS. I began my career as a math and science teacher in District 20. I am passionate about learning and recently completed my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy from the University of Colorado.
I am originally from Poland and moved to the United States when I was 5 years old. I have lived in Colorado Springs for the past 20 years and absolutely love living in Colorado! I am married to a fellow educator and we have two wonderful children. My daughter attends Falcon Middle School and my son is a student at WHES. As a family we enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, watching movies, and spending time together.
I am proud to be part of this dedicated school community that is committed to the success of every child. I believe that each child is unique and requires a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow and mature intellectually, emotionally, and socially. My goal is to instill a love of learning in each child and provide a supportive environment in which all students achieve success.
