Woodmen Hills Families,
As the assistant principal at Woodmen Hills for the past two years, I have seen first-hand what amazing students, families, and staff we have at our school. This school community has become my home, and it is with great joy that I get to serve as your principal beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.
I have been in education for 18 years and have spent all of those years in Colorado Springs. I began my teaching career in the Widefield School District and had the opportunity to serve as a fourth grade teacher, a sixth grade teacher, an instructional coach, and a teacher on special assignment during my time there. For eight years, I then served as an assistant principal in Harrison School District Two before coming to Woodmen Hills.
I have lived in Colorado Springs since I was a child and love this area. Outside of work, my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my husband and son. We enjoy traveling, going to the park, spending time with friends, and being with family.
Woodmen Hills Elementary has been on a positive trajectory over the past few years and has had both academic excellence as well as a positive school culture and climate. By continuing to partner together, I know that we will sustain and build upon the high achievement of students and educators at this great school!
