Welcome to another school year! I am so excited to be joining the IVES family this year. I will be serving as the Arts Integration Coach. 

 

This year starts my 11th year in education. I started my career as a technology teacher for K-5th grade, which I absolutely loved. I then transitioned to the classroom where I've taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade over the last 10 years. I just finished teaching 4th grade at Odyssey Elementary in the D49 school district. 

 

I completed all of my education in Missouri, where I'm from. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. While teaching, I earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a Masters in Lead Teaching. All of my experiences have led me to this role where I cannot wait to walk side by side with teachers and continue to help them grow in their profession. 

 

On a personal note, my husband Dan and I got married and moved to Colorado Springs in 2021. We are loving the Colorado lifestyle of being outside all the time, hiking, and exploring the mountains. We live in the D49 community with our 9 year old dog, Coby.
