Hello, my name is Gina Green. I am the new music teacher here at
Inspiration View Elementary School. I have to be honest and say I am so excited
to be here! In the spring of 2022, I began substitute teaching here at IVES. I fell
in love with the students, and was overwhelmed by how much the staff cared about
and supported each other. In July, when Mrs. Cole asked me about applying for
the position of music teacher, it didn't take me long to say, “Yes”!
This is my 13th year teaching music education. I have taught mostly in
Colorado, but also some in Iowa and South Dakota. One of the things that excites
me most about teaching music, is I have the opportunity to enrich every student's
life on our campus. In my classroom, we sing, play & write music as well as move
to music (with structure & purpose). Through these, they not only learn about
music, but also about history, mathematics, and reading & language. It is truly an
honor to work with this staff and all the students at IVES. I know it will be a
wonderful year.
