Kimberly Van Hecke graduated from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2022 with a double major in English and Secondary Education and a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. Ms. Van Hecke is originally from a suburb of Chicago and is the youngest of three girls. She moved to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2022.

When Ms. Van Hecke is not spending time reading or planning for school, she is rock climbing, hiking, or hanging out with her cat, Hugo.

Ms. Van Hecke looks back on her middle school years fondly and she is excited about starting her career in Education as a 7th grade reading teacher at Falcon Middle!
