Mrs. Charity Garner
Hello Families! The 2023/2024 school year is my first as the BRES Gifted Facilitator and my fifth year teaching in gifted education. I am excited to be here with you! I have been teaching K-5 students for twenty years in Colorado. I love working with GT students and supporting families and teachers with resources. I value relationships with my students and provide opportunities for them to thrive and enjoy school.
Gifted children need opportunities to excel, explore, and share their passions with others. Our program includes hands-on learning, exploration, STEM activities, advanced curriculum, and student-choice projects. We currently meet for 50-minute blocks on Mondays and Tuesdays. I also sponsor the Chess Club for GT students in D49 and the Battle of the Books Club for our fifth graders.
Outside school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. My son is in 7th grade at Skyview Middle, and my daughter is a third grader at Bennett Ranch. We have two ninja cats that complete our small family. Working out at OrangeTheory, hiking, shopping, and traveling are some of my hobbies. Starbucks is one of my happy places.
