My name is Martie Seaman and I am so thrilled to be part of the Wildcat family this year! I was born in Texas but moved to Colorado Springs when I was eight years old. I went to CU Boulder for my undergraduate degree in Humanities with a focus on computer science and media studies. I worked in the video game industry for two years before deciding to pursue my dream of teaching. I moved back to Colorado Springs and completed the Teacher Education Licensure Program in 2016. I taught fourth grade for four years, and third grade for one year before I moved to middle school to teach Computer Science. After one year of middle school, I decided to move back to elementary school and join the fifth grade team. This is my second year teaching 5th Grade at Evans Elementary. 

Teaching is my biggest passion and I'm so thrilled to help you learn and grow to become an amazing individual. I believe that all children can be successful if given the right strategies and tools in their toolbox. My goal is to help you become the best possible person and citizen you can be. 

When I'm not teaching, you can find me gaming with my husband and my friends, whether that be on a computer, a console, or board games. I'm also extremely creative and I enjoy making and creating things in my craft room. I love all things nerdy and sci-fi, so I definitely will have seen that new Marvel or Star Wars movie.
