Hello IVES Families! I am so excited to be teaching your 5th grade students this year! I’m Joe Boehringer but through the years, most people including students refer to me as Mr. B. This begins my 15th year in education and my first year at IVES. 

I started teaching in Ohio as a 7th and 8th grade Math and Science instructor. I took a leave of absence from education to pursue employment in the semiconductor industry. In 1989, my wife and I purchased a real estate franchise and opened our first ERA real estate office in Califorinia. We sold our real estate and mortgage businesses in 2004 and moved to the Falcon area where both of us received our Colorado teaching licenses. We were substitute teachers for a period and then accepted positions with Miami-Yoder School District.  I received my endorsement as a Special Education Generalist and worked with special education students and then taught 6th grade for three years.  I accepted a position at Skyview Middle School working with special education prior to moving to IVES.

My wife and I have a son and daughter, who love the Colorado Springs area as much as we do. We have lived in the Falcon area since 2005. We currently have miniature horses, rescued dogs and cat, along with “Dolly” our salmon crested cockatoo. My son is involved with investments and my daughter is serving in the army, stationed at Fort Carson.
