Hello families! I’m Megan McGuire and I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade at IVES. I went to school at the University of California, Irvine and obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Social Behavior with a minor in Elementary Education. I then earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I started out substituting at IVES and was fortunate enough to take over a 5th grade classroom in the middle of the 21-22 school year.

I am originally from Southern California where I enjoyed going to Disneyland weekly. My family and I moved out to Colorado Springs in the Fall of 2019 and instantly fell in love with it. I am a mother of two and love finding things to do with my kids. I am a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan. In my spare time, I can be found at the pool, at a zoo, doing crafts, or reading.
