I'm Jennifer Vanderhyde and I'm so looking forward to teaching and learning with your child this school year! I have taught K, 1, 2, 4, and 5 in past years (started teaching in 2003) and this will be my first year teaching 3rd grade! I'm really excited as this was my personal favorite elementary year when I was a student. My hope is that my students, families, and I work together to create a safe, comfortable learning environment with positive communication.

 

I grew up mainly in Michigan (Go Blue!) and graduated with my teaching degree from Western Michigan University. There I met my husband and we moved several places while he was in the Air Force. We have decided to call Colorado home and are happy to be settled here. We have 3 kiddos that keep us quite busy. When I'm not at school you will find me driving to sports practices, going to spin class or yoga, and spending time at our family ranch in Westcliffe.

 

I'm looking forward to this school year and all the learning, exploring, and creating that we'll do! Let's make this school year a success!
