Hello everyone!

My name is Katya Schmidt and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers here at Evans! I am very excited to be part of the Evans Elementary School family and I look forward to having a wonderful year with you and your child!

Some things about me;

I grew up in Switzerland and moved to America in 2013 to get my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at Illinois State University and in December 2019 I obtained my Master's degree in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages).

I have a daughter named Bailey and a super loyal dog named Oakley.
