Ms. Kerry Glynn

I am very excited to be at Vista Ridge this year! I have taught all age levels, from elementary to high school and can truly say I absolutely love teaching! I love reading and instilling the love of reading as well as writing in others. I grew up on the East Coast, primarily in New York and then Pennsylvania. This is my first year at Vista Ridge and my second year teaching in Colorado. I taught for 10 years at my Alma Mater in the state of Pennsylvania. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Marywood University with a minor in Psychology. My Master's Degree is in Instructional Technology and I am currently working on obtaining my principal licensure within the next year. When I am not working you can find me reading, hiking, traveling, watching movies, and playing with my crazy cat!  I have a passion for all animals and listening to live music or just music in general - I believe music as well as poetry is what binds the soul to the human! I love spending time with my family and friends. I am very close with my little brother and sister - they mean the world to me!

I really see myself as a facilitator in the classroom - I try to guide students to make their own unique discoveries through the learning process. I enjoy working with students one-on-one to help them develop their skills. Students in my classroom will typically enjoy several different types of projects, literature circles, and different genres of writing. I take into account each student’s best learning style and work to provide lessons that differentiate to that. Parents and students, please reach out to me by email (kglynn@d49.org) about any inquiries, questions or concerns relating to our curriculum, content or school. Go Wolves!
