Hello all, 

This is my first year teaching at Vista Ridge. I grew up here in Colorado Springs.  For college, I moved to Manhattan, Kansas to attend Kansas State University. I started out pursuing architecture but graduated with a degree in Speech Language Pathology. Instead of going to graduate school to be an SLP, I worked at a middle school in Junction City, KS and fell in love with education. I switched career paths, moved to Kansas City, and got my masters in teaching instead! I love teaching because I love students, and I love teaching English because there is so much to learn from literature that is applicable to our lives. This is my first time back in Colorado after six years in Kansas, and I miss Kansas City and my people there, but it's so good to be back.

Some things about me!

I love Goldendoodles (I have 2.. kinda). I enjoy being outside and being active- whether that be pickleball, hiking, or just throwing around a frisbee. I'm always reading something. I go through a couple of books a week! I'm a regular at Starbucks and Chipotle.  I love being around people and with good friends more than anything else. So excited for this school year!
