Mr. Smart has been an active member of bands and choirs for 20 years. He spent six years studying music at Utah State University, specializing in choral studies for the first three years and instrumental the last three. Band and choir have taken him all over the nation and even the world, including Ohio for the NCAA tournament, annual trips in college to Vegas for basketball tournaments, and China for the first ever international choral festival in Xian. 

Outside of music, Mr Smart enjoys mountain biking, camping, boating, and finding the occasional geocache. He also enjoys watching shows like Psych, M*A*S*H, Star Wars, and Phineas and Ferb. One place he has always wanted to travel is to Ireland.
