Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tracy Stuehm
Welcome to Evans Elementary School!! I am so excited to work with amazing students at our school. I love working with children.
I moved to Colorado Springs in 2001 with my husband and our three children. Our children grew up in District 49 and attended Evans Elementary, Horizon Middle School, and Sand Creek High School. They all received a fantastic education from the District 49 schools they attended. While our children were in school, I was active with Evans PTO and other community activities. I also did daycare in our home.
I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from University of Nebraska Kearney in 1990. Looking back, I wish I would have pursued a teaching degree at that time. In 2017, I decided follow my dream of becoming a teacher and enrolled on the BOCES 2 Year Alternative Licensure Program to get my Special Education Teacher License. I applied to be a Special Education Resource Teacher at Evans Elementary and was blessed to get the job. I completed the teaching program in December 2019. I am learning new things every day and I work with a fantastic team of educators and support staff.
My role at Evans Elementary is a Special Education Math Teacher. I work with small groups of students to help them understand math. My job is so rewarding because of the students I serve.
