I am looking forward to my second year as part of a great 4th grade team at Evans Elementary!  I've been teaching in District 49 since 2009, previously working with students in high school and middle school. My roots are in the Midwest, having grown up in Kansas and living several years in Indiana before chasing the mountains west to Colorado in 2007. I am married with three children. My wife is also an elementary school teacher.  We have two adult sons who live and work in the Springs and a daughter who is a senior at Rampart High School. I love trail running and mountain climbing. I recently completed a personal goal of climbing all of Colorado's 14ers. I enjoy being creative and working on outdoor projects at home. My favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Shawshank Redemption, Little Women, and Avengers: End Game. I am also a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs!
