I am thrilled to be a part of the IVES family! I have been teaching for the past 24 years in both first and second grades.  Before becoming a teacher, I was a tutor and a Sunday-school teacher.  My sister and mother-in-law are both teachers, so education is a family business.

First grade is such a fun and challenging time for learners.  Each student deserves a chance to learn and work in an environment that encourages think-time, some mental struggle time, and the opportunity to persevere through different learning activities. The arts integration focus at IVES will create such a great environment for students to do exactly that and show their learning in new ways. This school year will be one of growth and learning for all.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and my three almost-adult kids. We enjoy sports, antique shopping, and family dinners together. We spend a lot of time at football games, band concerts, and marching competitions. We enjoy time outside and love all our native-Colorado has to offer!
