Jason Mackay

Jason Mackay comes to SCHS from industry. He is a 22 year veteran of the United States Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2016. Mr Mackay was an Ordnance Corps Officer specializing in Materiel Maintenance and Munitions, managing repair of everything from Radios to M1 Main Battle Tanks and everything in between. He later served as a Logistics Corps Officer planning, leading, and coordinating support for human resources; munitions and weapon system replacement; fuel; maintenance, recovery, and evacuation; medical treatment and evacuation; supply distribution; transportation by sea, air, and rail; and field services such as mortuary affairs, parachute delivery, field feeding, clothing repair.

Mr Mackay's career includes assignments from the platoon level through command of the US Army Garrison Picatinny Arsenal, the Army's Center of Excellence for Guns and Munitions. He has served in units through out the United States, Korea, and Germany and deployments to Iraq in 2003 commanding the 95th Maintenance Company (TMDE) and Afghanistan in 2008 with the 4th Brigade, 101st Airborne Division and 2011 with the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters. Mr Mackay was most recently working in construction and engineering management leading the Facilities Department for a local school district in Colorado.
