I'm Mary Ellen McCluggage. I feel like I've always been teaching. My first classroom was a bedroom and my students were stuffed animals and dolls. They were always well-behaved and eager to learn. Since then I have taught a variety of grades in California and here in Colorado Springs for the past 20 years. My heart has always been with reading and so it makes sense that I'd end up here at ALLIES where I can focus on students that need more intensive and explicit help. I love it here. 

 

I graduated from Seattle Pacific University and then obtained a masters degree from Colorado Christian University. While I've lived most of my life on the west coast, Colorado has become my home. I  enjoy reading and hiking with my husband and friends. I also love staying in touch with my four adult children and grandsons.
