It is a privilege to serve the ALLIES community as a Take Flight Therapist.  I started my teaching career in Michigan in 1985.  In 1997 my husband’s job relocated our family to Colorado, so I took a few years off to be at home with my three boys.  I returned to the classroom in 2002 where I taught Kindergarten, Second, and Third grades for 12 years in District 20. I was a Reading Interventionist from 2015 to 2018 in District 38. In June of 2012 I began working on my Master's in Literacy Intervention and working with private students needing Take Flight Therapy. I completed my Master's in Teaching at Colorado College and became a Certified Academic Language Therapist in 2014. In 2015 I added a Reading Specialist endorsement to my Colorado teaching License.  I am delighted to be returning to ALLIES for my sixth year as a Reading Therapist.   My goal is to assist students in mastering reading skills so they will be equipped to reach their full academic potential.
